Chandler School is a co-ed, K-8, day school enrolling 450 students.

The Middle School Administrative Assistant provides confidential and professional support to the Middle School Director and must manage individual projects and duties. Some of these functions include but are not limited to the following:
The administrative assistant must be courteous at all times to parents, colleagues and students.
The administrative assistant handles confidential information and there is an expectation that the material will remain confidential.
Manages the digital calendar for the middle school director.
Schedules meetings requested by teachers, parents, students, etc.
Contacts and coordinates meeting times with individuals specified by the middle school director.
Coordinates parent-teacher conference sign-ups.
Coordinates and manages surveys, reports and other special projects as needed in the middle school including standardized testing materials.
Supports the high school admissions process through coordination of recommendations,transcripts and data analysis.
Schedules responsibilities for high school admissions meetings, visits and information sessions.
Provides full clerical support to the middle school office including; typing of correspondence, scheduling (including meetings), copying, filing, mailings and correspondence.
Maintains attendance records
Works with the director of facilities to coordinate all event requests for middle school events.
Assists in the coordination of the admissions calendar with regard to scheduling student interviews and providing parent guidance through the process.
Experience, Skills, Abilities Required:
Position requires strong writing skills and an ability to read and interpret documents and must have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Requires highly developed organizational skills, detailed-oriented work style and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Position requires ability to be easily understood and possess a positive attitude and patience when welcoming parents, students and visitors and when answering the phone.
Position requires experience with Apple products, Google applications, social media. Must be able to manipulate data, coordinate mailings, organize online documents and information.
Physical demands – this position is required to sit at a desk and work at a computer, talk, hear and to visually intercept visitors. Ability to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.
A Bachelor's degree and 3 - 5 years of experience working in an independent school preferred.
