Director of Admission and Enrollment Management

    Milken Community Schools, one of the largest 7-12 community Jewish day schools in the United States, seeks a dynamic person to join our team as Director of Admission and Enrollment Management. This is a Senior Position reporting directly to the Head of School. Milken Community Schools offers a salary commensurate with experience and a competitive benefits package.     Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

    • Provides management oversight and leadership for the grade 7-12 admission team and all student recruitment and retention efforts for Milken Community Schools.

    • Defines an enrollment and retention strategy, led by research that provides the data analysis necessary to make recommendations regarding new approaches to enrollment and retention.

    • Directs all prospecting, presenting, and closing efforts needed to admit and retain new students into the school.

    • Oversees the management of the enrollment management database (Blackbaud)

    • Works with the Marketing & Communications team to develop and execute a targeted and effective communications and marketing plan for admission and identifying opportunities for reaching prospective families (Hubspot).

    • Contributes to the development of marketing collateral that are part of the recruitment and admission effort including but not limited to the viewbook, electronic publications, special handouts, flyers and promotional materials.

    • Establishes and maintains strong relationships with appropriate personnel at local area feeder schools.

    • Collaborates with the CFO on financial aid decisions.

    • Leads and facilitates all admission events including but not limited to tours for prospective families, open houses, parent coffee programs, parlor events, interviews, and student visits.

    • Advises the preparation and management of the admission budget.

    • Collaborates with Director of Advancement on the stewardship of new family prospects.

    • Coordinates re-enrollment process with the Business Office and tracks attrition and retention with colleagues across campus divisions.

    • Collaborates with the Middle and Upper School Directors to foster programs and initiatives to sustain excitement about our school within the current community.

    • Maintains statistics with regard to enrollment and produces reports for school administrators, Head of School, and Board of Trustees.

      Preferred Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferred.

    • 8-10 years experience in independent school admission preferred.

    • Working familiarity with the American Jewish community and its institutions preferred.

    • Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and manage teams.

    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

    • Demonstrated research skills, specifically in the area of data collection and analysis.

    • Strong interpersonal skills.

    • Effective organizational and planning skills, attention to detail.

    • Determined, dedicated and strong work ethic.
