Facility/Maintenance Manager

    A private school in Belmont is looking for a Facility/Maintenance Manager. The position is full-time, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday; requires flexible work schedule, overtime, weekends and holidays. Benefits include paid holidays, medical, dental, life insurance, long term disability.

    Requirements:

    • ·         Preferred 3-5 years’ experience working in a maintenance or janitorial profession.
    • ·         Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • ·         Team oriented, flexible, and reliable.
    • ·         Superior organizational, time management, and analytical skills.
    • ·         Problem solving, analysis, and judgment skills.
    • ·         Personal qualities of Integrity, credibility, and commitment to the mission of the school. This position requires a full criminal background check with no criminal history and work references.


    Essential duties and responsibilities:

    • Manage the maintenance and cleaning programs that keep the school’s appearance in good condition. Establishes schedule to proactively maintain campus, prevent deferred maintenance, and avert operational disruptions. Performs repairs, maintenance, cleaning, and grounds keeping tasks as appropriate.
    • Oversees on-going equipment replacement and building maintenance.
    • Oversees the work of all outside vendors and contractors to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and projected outcomes.
    • Maintains a safe working environment.
    • Maintains inventory of maintenance, kitchen, bathroom, and cleaning supplies. Places orders to keep inventory.

    Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

    • Regularly sit, talk and hear. 
    • Regularly uses close and distance vision.
    • Can walk and stand for long periods of time.
    • Engage in frequent bending, kneeling, squatting, pushing, and pulling.
    • Be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
    • Works in various weather and temperature conditions, including extreme heat, humidity, and cold.
