Assistant Director for College Access and Success
Campbell Scholars Program
Salary range: $77,000 - $95,000 annually
Campbell Hall, founded in 1944 and situated on 15 naturally landscaped acres in Studio City, California, is an independent, all-gender, college preparatory, Episcopal day school for students in kindergarten through grade twelve. The school is committed to fostering a community dedicated to honoring the diversity of the human experience, and is an Equal Opportunity Employer that does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, and creed, place of national origin, sex, gender identity, age, sexual orientation or physical ability.
Campbell Scholars Program Description
Founded in 2014, The Campbell Scholars Program (CSP) extends Campbell Hall’s core mission and capacity to economically disadvantaged, high-achieving students who are currently enrolled in Title I schools within 10-miles of Campbell Hall and who aspire to be the first in their family to graduate from a four-year college. Students in CSP receive 10 years of continuous programming and support from the end of 6th grade until college graduation. The end goal is to improve college and career outcomes for underserved students and their communities.
Students are enrolled at the end of 6th grade and work through three distinct phases: the first three years are focused on high school preparation and academic enrichment; the next four years are focused on college access, and the last four years are focused on college persistence and career placement. Each phase is built upon existing programming and capacity at Campbell Hall and involves the joint efforts of Campbell Hall administrators, staff, faculty, students, and alumni.
In addition to the student programming, there is a parallel parent-education component to support parents and families along the college pathway. Partnerships with home schools are also important to supporting students year round. CSP is not an enrollment tool for Campbell Hall, and students who apply to Campbell Hall or any independent school do so at their own initiative.
