Waldorf School of the Peninsula (Nursery – Grade 12) celebrates bringing Waldorf education to Northern California for 40 years. Our school has two beautiful campuses: early childhood through grade 5 in Los Altos, and a few miles away in Mountain View are grades 6-12. Our school is a full member of, and accredited by, the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America. The school is also fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.

Waldorf School of the Peninsula seeks an hourly part-time Handwork assistant for Grades 1-5  who thrives in a creative, collaborative environment working with the students, the lead Handwork teacher and fellow faculty.

• The Handwork assistant will assist the lead Handwork teacher in  the Grade 1-5 classroom, will work with children individually or in small groups during the class lesson, prepare and set up materials, clean up and support dismissal.

• The ideal candidate has experience working in the Waldorf environment, has the flexibility to work with students of different ages, can work collaboratively and has experience and enthusiasm for  a wide variety of Handwork skills. 

• The approximate schedule is: Monday 10:50 am-3:15 pm ;Tuesday 1pm-3pm; Thursday 1pm-3pm ; Friday 10:50 am-3:15pm. Additionally this position requires 1-2 hours to help with material prep.

The compensation for this position is $22 per hour.
