    Location: Escuela Bilingüe Internacional (EBI)
    Status: Full-time, Exempt

    Position Overview

    Escuela Bilingüe Internacional (EBI) is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Marketing and Communications to join the Advancement team. The Director will be responsible for developing and implementing a strategic marketing and communications plan that promotes the school’s mission, programs, and brand. This role will lead all efforts to elevate the school’s visibility, enhance its reputation, and engage key constituencies, including current and prospective families, alumni, and donors.

    The Director of Marketing and Communications will work closely with the Director of Advancement to align communication strategies with fundraising, admissions, and community engagement goals.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Strategic Planning and Execution:

      • Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy that aligns with EBI’s mission and supports the school’s admissions, development, and community engagement goals.

      • Collaborate with the Advancement team to create integrated campaigns that strengthen brand awareness and support enrollment, retention, and fundraising efforts.

    • Content Creation and Brand Management:

      • Lead the creation and management of compelling content in both Spanish and English for all internal and external communications, including newsletters, brochures, social media, website content, press releases, and other promotional materials.

      • Ensure brand consistency and integrity across all platforms, maintaining EBI’s identity as a premier bilingual Spanish English IB school.

    • Digital and Social Media Management:

      • Oversee EBI’s digital presence, including the school website, social media platforms, and email marketing, ensuring content is engaging, current, and relevant to target audiences.

      • Analyze and track digital marketing and social media metrics to optimize outreach efforts and report on campaign effectiveness.

    • Media and Public Relations:

      • Serve as the school’s primary media contact, fostering relationships with local and regional media outlets.

      • Write press releases and manage media outreach efforts to enhance EBI’s visibility in the community and beyond.

    • Crisis Communication:

      • Develop and implement effective crisis communication strategies in collaboration with school leadership to manage sensitive situations and protect the school’s reputation.

    • Event Marketing and Promotion:

      • Collaborate with the Admissions and Development teams to promote key school events, including open houses, fundraisers, alumni events, and community programs.

    • Budget Management:

      • Develop and manage the marketing and communications budget, ensuring efficient use of resources while maximizing the impact of promotional efforts.

    • Team Leadership and Collaboration:

      • Work collaboratively with internal departments, including Admissions, Advancement, and the Head of School, to ensure cohesive messaging and marketing strategies.

    Qualifications

    • Fluency in Spanish is highly desirable

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.

    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in marketing and communications, preferably in an independent school or nonprofit setting.

    • Proven ability to develop and execute effective marketing and communication strategies across multiple platforms.

    • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives for various audiences.

    • Expertise in digital marketing and social media management.

    • Experience managing media relations and crisis communications.

    • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

    • Commitment to EBI’s mission of bilingual, multicultural education, and a strong appreciation for diversity, equity, and inclusion.


    Preferred Qualifications

    • Familiarity with bilingual education and the International Baccalaureate (IB) program.

    • Experience working within an Advancement or Development team.

    • Website management (Wordpress)

    Working Conditions

    • Full-time, on-campus role at EBI.

    • Some evening and weekend work may be required for events and activities.

    Compensation and Benefits

    EBI uses a salary scale that is based on education and years of experience and ranges from $105,000 to $125,000, a robust benefits package, and professional development opportunities. We're committed to supporting our team members in their personal and professional growth.
