    Position: Substitute Teacher

    Reports to: Head of Lower School

    Pay: $225.00 per full day

    Black Pine Circle School is currently hiring educators to work with children ages 5–13

    Substitute teachers will be required to execute lesson plans left by head teachers and/or assistant teachers in a supportive role. In addition, substitute teachers will be required to perform other duties as assigned, including but not limited to: recess and lunch coverage; other subject coverages; copying; and prepping materials. All substitute teachers will be asked to complete an observation form at the end of each day they are substituting. 

    Requirements: 

    • Love and enjoy working with children; have experience working with children in groups

    • Flexible, adaptable, sense of humor; willingness to jump right in

    • Creative, kind, and humble

    • Desire to help children learn and grow; belief in positive discipline 

    • Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or university

    • CA teaching credential is preferred

    • Complete CA and FBI live scan background check 

    • TB Risk Assessment. If a TB test is still necessary, you will need to complete or upload a recently negative TB test result.
