    Elementary & Early Education Teacher Associate

    Position Summary

    Do you have energy to burn?  Do you love to play outside?  Do you enjoy playing soccer, basketball and jumping rope?  If the answer is yes then YOU might be our next Teacher Associate.  The Teacher Associate role supports the lead teachers in creating a joyful, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for students in both Early Education and Elementary Divisions. This role assists with classroom activities, supervision, and individualized support to ensure each child’s development aligns with our anchors of joyful experience, individual attention, and mastery-based learning. The Teacher Associate helps maintain a safe and organized classroom, fosters positive interactions, and encourages children's social, emotional, and cognitive growth through indoor and outdoor play and guided learning experiences.

    Major Areas of Responsibility

            Creating, implementing, and managing lunch, recesses, rest, and before and after school activities as requested and scheduled for EE - Grade 5.

            Actively engaging in play activities with students modeling excellent citizenship and helping with social interactions.

            Use positive, proactive measures to assist in conflict resolution as needed.

            Supporting and providing safe and educational activities in the outdoor environment.

            Working collaboratively with other teachers.

            Maintaining a flexible attitude and a willingness to initiate care and help as needed.

            Stepping in as a teacher when the lead teacher is absent or not in the classroom.

            Follow all Community Care Licensing regulations for the standard of care for young children.

    Required Qualifications

            Candidates for this position must have a minimum of 12 early education units. (ECE) coursework

            Experience working with young children in an elementary school, preschool, daycare, or structured play-based setting.

            CPR & First Aid certification (school will provide)

            Must be physically able to play games with children of all ages.

    Preferred Background

            Bachelor's degree in related field preferred; Multiple Subject Teaching credential is a bonus but not required. Early Education units are preferred, but not required.

            Passion for working with young children, creating joyful and engaging learning experiences.

            Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time.

            Love of playing outdoors with children.

            Patient, flexible, and able to adapt to different learning styles and classroom dynamics.

            Physical ability to lift up to 30 lbs, sit on the floor, and engage in active play.

            Commitment to positive discipline strategies and a nurturing, child-centered approach.

    Salary Range and Benefits

    The hourly range for this position is $18.00-$28.00 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.  We offer a full and robust range of medical, dental, and vision benefits, participation in a 403b retirement plan, which we will match up to 4%, and life insurance. More information about all of our benefits will be provided during the interview process.

    Timeline and Start Date

    The start date for this position is upon clearance.  Please note that employment is subject to Live Scan clearance and reference checks before beginning employment.
