    Opportunity

    Head-Royce School is seeking a meticulous and organized Human Resources Coordinator to join our Business Office. This part-time role is essential to our hiring operations, providing administrative support that ensures our faculty and staff can focus on what they do best: educating students in support of our mission. You will work in the business office, partnering closely with the HR Director and Payroll Manager to provide a seamless experience for all employees throughout their lifecycle at the school.

    Key Responsibilities Include:

    • Managing recruiting workflows and onboarding documentation
    • Coordinating reference checks and pre-employment clearances (Live Scan, TB, SB 848 compliance)
    • Maintaining electronic personnel files and HR recordsTracking and supporting required employee and volunteer trainings
    • Assisting with HR projects, communications, and intranet updates
    Requirements
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
    • Minimum 2 years of HR or administrative experience (school or nonprofit preferred)
    • Demonstrated knowledge of California employment law 
    • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and discretion
    • Proficiency with HRIS systems (pref Paycom) and Google Workspace

    Salary: $33 - $35 an hour

    Paid hourly, non-exempt, hybrid 18 hours a week. Oppty to increase hours in 26-27 school year.

    HRS is unable to provide immigration sponsorships such as H1B Visas.
