    Salary: $85,000 to $95,000

    The Branson School is a coeducational, college-preparatory day school of 395 students, grades 9-12,

    The Accounting Associate plays a crucial role within our four-person Business Office team, overseeing

    full-cycle Accounts Payable, including employee reimbursements, corporate credit card expenses, and

    expense reporting. Additionally, this position provides support for student billing, collections, and performs

    thorough Balance Sheet account reconciliations and Income Statement account analysis. This role

    reports to the Controller.

    Specific Duties and Responsibilities

     Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of weekly

    check runs through 3 rd party (Paymerang) payment system, vendor records for 1099 reporting,

    and proper approvals and adherence to company policies.

     Oversee employee and parent reimbursements, handling documentation and compliance with

    company policies.

     Handle speaker agreements, ensuring proper recording, payment, and adherence to contractual

    terms.

     Manage the preparation and issuance of 1099 forms for applicable vendors and contractors.

     Coordinate Business Office Google forms related to financial data collection, ensuring

    completeness and accuracy.

     Take charge of corporate credit card expense management, reconciling statements and ensuring

    compliance with expense policies.

     Maintain organized records and documentation for all financial transactions and agreements.

     Submit monthly budget reports to budget managers and prepare all adjustments requested in our

    accounting software.

     Reconcile quarterly use tax submissions.

     Collaborate with internal teams to streamline and improve efficiency.

    Mary Law Executive Search

     Assist in month-end closing procedures and contribute to financial reporting activities by

    managing department budget dashboards in accounting software and scheduling monthly or

    quarterly budget reviews.

     Support the annual audit process by providing necessary documentation and addressing audit

    inquiries.

     Actively participate in a collaborative employee culture that is committed to being at the leading

    edge of 9th-12th grade education.

     Appropriately and effectively communicate (verbally and in writing) with vendors, faculty, staff and

    parents as necessary.

     Process monthly student billing, manage parent accounts in Blackbaud Tuition Management and

    reconcile the related general ledger accounts.

     Process bank remote deposits and export daily activity via the bank portal.

     Pick up mail and checks daily from Richardson Hall and deliver to Crossway mailboxes.

    Qualifications & Skills

     Bachelor’s degree from accredited four-year college, accounting emphasis preferred.

     1-3 years of related accounting experience required, which can be waived for candidates with

    strong four-year college accounting academic coursework.

     Desire and ability to work in a collegial, highly collaborative environment.

     Strong planning, organizational and time management skills, attention to detail, and strong

    analytical problem-solving skills.

     Knowledge of Excel, VLOOKUP and PivotTable experience a strong plus.

     Positive, upbeat and enthusiastic about working in a non-profit environment.

     Nonprofit industry experience and/or education a strong plus.

     Experience with Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT accounting software a strong plus.
