Temporary Substitute Early Education Assistant Teacher
Position Summary:
We seek a Temporary Substitute Early Education Assistant Teacher to support our Early Education program. This role will involve varying hours, providing supervision and instructional support as needed, and stepping in as a substitute teacher when required. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with young children and collaborating with multiple lead teachers across different classrooms. Flexibility and a passion for early education are essential, and ongoing professional development is encouraged.
Qualifications:
● A minimum of 12 Early Childhood Education (ECE) units is required.
● Strong interest in early childhood development and a love for working with young children.
● Ability to adapt quickly to changing needs and a willingness to engage in professional growth opportunities.
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and tactfully with administrators, parents, students, faculty, and guests.
● Calm demeanor, sense of humor, and comfort with the dynamic environment of early education.
Core Responsibilities:
● Provide supervision during lunch, rest periods, and before/after school activities as needed.
● Facilitate and maintain safe, engaging educational activities, including outdoor play.
● Collaborate with lead teachers to support classroom goals and learning experiences.
● Maintain flexibility and a proactive attitude to assist wherever necessary.
● Act as a substitute teacher in the lead teacher's absence, ensuring the smooth continuation of classroom routines.
● Follow all Community Care Licensing regulations to maintain the highest standards of care and safety.
Schedule & Compensation:
● Part-time, flexible hours: Monday through Friday, 9 am - 3 pm, with opportunities for additional hours.
● Hourly rate: $19.50 - $21.00.
● Start Date: January 6th
● End Date: Mid-April
