    Job Title: Educational Technology Support Specialist

    Job Class: Full-Time Non-Exempt

    Reports to: Director of Technology

    EBI is seeking faculty and staff members who, in addition to their specific responsibilities, demonstrate the following:

    EBI seeks a highly motivated and self-directed technical support professional with strong problem-solving, communication, customer service, technical, organizational, and leadership skills to join the Technology Team and assist and support teachers, students, families, staff, and administrators in our predominantly Chromebook and iOS environment. 

    Responsibilities Include:

    Provide technical support:

    • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues related to educational technologies, such as computers, laptops, tablets, projectors, interactive whiteboards, audio-visual equipment, and learning management systems (LMS).

    • Diagnose and repair computer hardware and software problems.

    • Assist with the installation and configuration of software and hardware.

    • Provide remote and on-site technical support.

    • Produce and edit high-quality videos for various purposes, including school event highlights, fundraising campaign launches, social media content, and website promotion.

    Maintain and troubleshoot technology infrastructure:

    • Assist with maintaining and troubleshooting the institution's technology infrastructure, including networks, servers, and other related systems.

    • Ensure the security and integrity of educational technology systems.

    • Other duties as assigned

    Requirements

    Professional Skills & Experience

    • Required:

      • Experience with various educational technologies, including computers, laptops, tablets, projectors, interactive whiteboards, audio-visual equipment, and learning management systems (LMS).

      • Experience with troubleshooting hardware and software issues. (Apple technology MacBooks, iPads, and Google technology /Chromebooks, Chrome OS)

      • Expertise with SeeSaw, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Jamf, ClassLink, and GoGuardian.

      • Experience with providing training and support to end-users.

      • Experience providing technical support 

      • Experience developing user-friendly training/support materials for various audiences (e.g., screencasts, written tutorials, FAQs, etc.)

      • Possess advanced knowledge of Google Workspaces.

      • Experience shooting and editing high-quality videos.

      • Set up and manage multimedia devices and Zoom/livestream for school

    meetings/presentations.

    • Familiar with coding, robotics, 3D printing, and learning management systems

    • Preferred:

      • Experience with technology deployment and support in a school setting

      • Experience with iMovie and Adobe applications.

      • Computer programming languages/tools/apps for kids

      • Bilingual English Spanish

    EBI  uses a salary scale that is based on education and years of experience and ranges from $35 to $40 per hour
