    Job Title:
    IB MYP & Inaugural DP Coordinator

    Reports to: Middle School Principal and High School Principal

    Job Summary:
    The IB MYP & Inaugural DP Coordinator will lead the continued development and implementation of the Middle Years Programme (MYP) while simultaneously establishing and accrediting the school’s first Diploma Programme (DP). This dual role requires strategic vision, collaboration, and meticulous adherence to IB standards and practices. The Coordinator will drive curriculum alignment, oversee staff training and evaluation, and work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure a successful rollout and sustained excellence in both programs.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. MYP Coordination

      • Oversee MYP curriculum planning, instruction, and assessment, ensuring alignment with IB objectives.

      • Provide ongoing professional development to faculty, encouraging innovative and inquiry-based teaching.

      • Lead regular program reviews and quality assurance checks to maintain compliance with IB standards.

      • Collaborate with subject area leaders to strengthen interdisciplinary connections and global perspectives.

    2. Inaugural DP Coordination

      • Spearhead the formal accreditation process for the new DP, serving as the primary liaison with the IB organization.

      • Develop DP-specific policies, schedules, and core structures (Theory of Knowledge, CAS, Extended Essay).

      • Recruit, train, and support teachers to build a cohesive and highly competent DP faculty team.

      • Engage parents, students, and the wider community to promote awareness, enrollment, and advocacy for the DP.

    3. Teaching and other duties

      • While this is a full-time pedagogical administrative position, teaching a few hours may be required depending on the current and specific needs of the program.

      • Actively participating in school life (admission events, open houses, field trips, …)

      • Supporting the Enrollment Management department for all International Track purposes

      • Assist Head of School and Principals in teacher evaluations and recruitment

      • Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor

    Required Skills & Qualifications:

    • Educational Background:

      • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (Master’s preferred).

      • Proven experience with IB programs (MYP, DP, or both), including authorization or evaluation processes.

    • Pedagogical & Curriculum Expertise:

      • In-depth understanding of the IB Learner Profile, assessment principles, and approaches to teaching and learning.

      • Demonstrated ability to design and adapt curricula that foster higher-order thinking, global-mindedness, and interdisciplinary connections.

    • Leadership & Management:

      • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and guide teams through change and program development.

      • Excellent project management skills to coordinate timelines, manage accreditation requirements, and maintain program fidelity.

    • Communication & Collaboration:

      • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills for delivering professional development, parent workshops, and community outreach.

      • Capacity to build relationships with diverse stakeholders, including staff, students, parents, and the IB organization.

    • Analytical & Problem-Solving Abilities:

      • Proficient in data-driven decision-making to monitor student progress and evaluate program effectiveness.

      • Adept at identifying challenges and finding innovative solutions to ensure continuous improvement.

    • International Mindedness & Cultural Competence:

      • Commitment to fostering a culturally inclusive environment that values respect, empathy, and global engagement.

    IB Educator Network (IBEN) would be a plus.

    Start Date: August,1st 2025

    Status: Exempt, Full-Time 

    Location: LFSF campuses with the administrative office located at 1201 Ortega Street / Sunset

    The salary range is USD 100,000 to USD 130,000 depending on the experience
