The San Francisco Waldorf School is seeking Head and Assistant Boys Soccer Coaches for our Middle School & High School for the upcoming Fall 2025 season. Our high school competes in the Bay Area Conference and is a member of the CIF and NCS.
Soccer - Fall Season: Late August - Early November
*Must be available during after-school hours weekdays, between 3:30pm – 6:30pm and weekends.
Coaching Stipend for Season:
Grade School Boys Soccer (7th grade), Head coach & Assistant coach: $2,200-2,400 (depending on position)
High School Varsity Boys Soccer Head coach & Assistant coach: $3,400-5,600 (depending on position)
Qualified candidates will be those with a strong background in coaching soccer (prefer College/High School coaching and/or playing experience) who seek a team-oriented athletic environment, with the ability to apply leadership, organization, and teaching skills to adolescent student-athletes in a strong and competitive athletic program. Experience is a plus, but is secondary to dedication and commitment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Plan practices, emphasizing the development of fundamental skills through positive feedback

Must commit to all weekday practices and games

Provide consistent communication with students, parents, fellow coaches, and supervisors

Attend coaching clinics and meetings as required
-
Provide active direction to the team during games
-
Prepare starting lineupand substitutions
-
Create and institute age-appropriate game strategy
-
Learn and comply with NFHS/CIF/NCS league rules and procedures

Additional duties as needed
REQUIREMENTS:
-
One year of Soccer Coaching or teaching Physical Education

Previous experience working with middle school or high school students
-
NFHS California Coaching Certification & other required courses mandated by the state for HS coaches.

Excellent communication skills

Interest in Waldorf education

Valid CA Drivers License
-
TB Assessment
-
Livescan fingerprinting required
-
CPR and First Aid certification (or the willingness to become certified) is also necessary.
